"EVANGELINE" is the true story of a brave 8 year old girl, Aurora Carter, dropped off at her grandparents due to her mother's heroin addiction & living on the streets. My good friends Penny & Brian Butler stepped up several months ago to take in Aurora into their home, and deeper in their hearts. It moved me to write & record "Evangeline." You can get to the song either by: 1) if you have iTunes, search on "Loose Bruce Kerr," it's in "Songs" at the bottom of the page, or 2) get it from the distributor's page (by choosing a user name & password) at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/loosebrucekerr5  Headphones & good volume encouraged...both allow sampling of the song and/or download of the mp3 for 99 cents. For brave Aurora Carter and her loving grandparents, Penny & Brian.

"Woke Up In Love"
by Waukesha's "Loose Bruce" Kerr

1
I used to chase her round the playground
Back when we were small
Later on in high school
I'd meet her in the hall

She used to tell me 'bout her boyfriends
I'd ask about girls
We grew up close together
In our small town world

CHORUS I
We were the best of friends
We knew each other from way back when
In all that time
We never crossed that line

But it changed all right
It happened overnight
We went to bed as friends and
Woke Up In Love

2
It started out so slowly
I wondered if she knew
But she came right up to me
And said, "Could this be true

I see a new look in your eyes
I hope you see in mine"
I said, "This sure is crazy
Love was just a matter of time"

CHORUS II
We were the best of friends
We knew each other from way back when
In all that time
We never crossed that line

But it changed all right
It happened just last night
We went to bed as friends and
Woke Up In Love

BRIDGE
I've waited for so long
For someone just beyond the rise
All that time the love of my life
Was right before my eyes

CHORUS III
We are the best of friends
We know each other from way back when
And all this time
We never crossed that line

But it changed all right
In the full moonlight
We went to bed as friends and
Woke Up In Love

I used to chase her round the playground...

"I AM THERE FOR YOU" is "Loose Bruce" Kerr's latest original song, a jazz-scat-big band sound. A snippet can be heard here and an html link is being provided to take you to the site where you can download the entire song. <http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/loosebrucekerr>

Bruce records his songs one instrument & vocal at a time, layering to get the final song. In this one, he sings, plays bass & piano "for real," then uses his synthesizer to compose & play each trombone, trumpet, saxophone, & set of drums, one drum or cymbal per track, then mixes it all together.

"Loose Bruce" Kerr spent 20 years as a performer of music, comedy, and parodies. His parodies have been played on national TV (CNN News), radio (Dr. Demento, over 100 plays; Jim Bohannon Program, Larry King). He opened for "Weird Al" Yankovic. Eventually, Bruce resumed his earlier law practice which he had suspended and is now a lawyer working for Oracle in Northern California's Silicon Valley.

In the mid-late 60's, Bruce was a vocalist & bass player in rock band "The 5 Bucks" which became the "Byzantine Empire" during college at the University of Michigan. Several 45's were released, the last several on Bell Records. Before that, in high school, Bruce was in a folk group in Waukesha, Wisconsin (home of Les Paul), "The Coachmen."

In the late 70's, Bruce was a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter in the New England area rock band, "Spud City."

Many of Bruce's parody videos from 2006-on are viewable on youtube at <http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=loose+bruce+kerr&oq=loose+bruce+&gs_l=youtube.1.0.35i39l2j0.159.1662.0.4198.11.8.0.0.0.0.497.2182.1j4j4-3.8.0...0.0...1ac.1.11.youtube.TgH3r9NSnEU>

JUST THE SAME" is the latest original song by "Loose Bruce" Kerr. The video shows pictures of laying down the pedal steel track by Richard Swiger in March of 2013.

The song is about returning veterans from the Mideast Wars, attempting to adjust to being back to their normal lives. Bruce dedicates the song to his father-in-law, Gordon Tingle who fought as a Marine on Iwo Jima and returned to Waukesha, Wisconsin to raise a family and run his own business.
